The Black Belt Paddler Challenge is an exciting canoe paddling race inspired by the legendary competitions of Tahiti and Hawaii. The race will take place on April 19, 2025, in Miami, Florida, where top athletes from around the world will gather to compete individually for the prestigious Black Belt Paddler Title. The term “Black Belt” signifies expertise, dedication, commitment, and perseverance, traits that the challenge seeks to embody and celebrate.

The race features multiple watercraft categories, including V1, OC-1, Surfski, Prone Paddleboard, Standup Paddleboard, and Kayak, each with separate age divisions for juniors, open, and masters. Participants will navigate courses that stretch along the beautiful coastline of Biscayne Bay, providing stunning views for both competitors and spectators. The event emphasizes athletic excellence, unity, and community engagement, making it a hallmark occasion for paddling enthusiasts and spectators alike.

The Black Belt Paddler Challenge will take place on April 19, 2025, starting at 7 AM at the Miami Rowing Club/Miami Marine Stadium, located at 3601 Rickenbacker Cswy, Key Biscayne, FL 33149 and the Heiva I Miami Festival will start at 7 AM.

 

Yes, there will be free ample parking available at the Miami Marine Stadium.
